The key function of this role is to develop the Optus Wholesale & Satellite (OWS) Learning and Development strategy. This will be done in consultation with the OWS Managing Director and senior management teams of the OWS and IBU business units, their management teams, the OWS/IBU Human Resources Manager, Learning and Development Manager SMB, OWS & IBU and other key business stakeholders ensuring alignment with the Learning and Development strategy.
The incumbent is responsible for translating this strategy into an operational training plan for OWS ensuring its implementation for those areas within their responsibility.
OWS divisions expect improved business results as an outcome of the learning and development solutions implemented as well as support in responding to a rapidly changing market place.
This role is the primary interface for OWS and IBU for all matters relating to their learning and development needs. To ensure this, the incumbent will provide a conduit into the central learning & development function in order to source other appropriate learning and development solutions.
The incumbent has a responsibility to:
• set strategic directions for key areas eg Sales
• provide information on business activities which necessitate L&D intervention or drive strategy revision
• provide technical guidelines relating to training and development
• support professional and leadership development
This role will also offer L&D consultancy support to the Commercial, Marketing and Operation groups in SMB.
