The zOS system programmer will be responsible for: providing technical review, system engineering, administration, analysis, configuration and oversight of the Corporations Financial Mainframe zOS operating system environment; maintain and monitor operating based system, Hardware I/O configuration and peripheral devices; ensure operating system and support software are maintained at a current revision level; perform regularly scheduled preventive software maintenance; work with software developers to implement and configure new software applications; manage system capacity planning and configure hardware peripherals (printers, tape drive, storage ect.); monitor the performance of the systems and make performance improvements as necessary.
