**Job Summary**

**AECOM** is actively seeking a highly motivated Entry Level Environmental Scientist for employment in the Glen Allen, VA office.

This position is expected to begin in June 2021.

**About DCSA—Environment**

With world class technical expertise, leading edge technology and innovative project delivery capability around the world, AECOM’s global environmental practice helps industry and government meet their business goals – to achieve compliance, reduce or eliminate risks and manage impacts. We provide advisory and technical services to help clients cleanup and close contaminated sites and surplus operational facilities and restore them for reuse, plan and permit new facilities, address critical climate change issues, restore habitats and water quality, protect natural and cultural resources, maintain compliance, and cost effectively manage residuals and wastes.

**The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:**

+ Planning environmental monitoring events, including field resource coordination, monitoring event scheduling, field document preparation, interfacing with equipment/supply vendors, tracking event completion progress, and providing regular updates to the project manager.

+ Conducting environmental field work, including groundwater sampling, fluid level gauging, and oversight of field surveys and utility clearance for intrusive operations.

+ Supporting office tasks, including data analysis and report preparation.

**Minimum Requirements**

+ Bachelors Degree in Environmental Studies, Geology, Hydrology, or related science.

+ Valid U.S. Drivers License.

+ GIS experience or GIS coursework.

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

+ Ability to work well in a project team and a fast-paced environment.

+ Aptitude for conducting and coordinating field activities.

+ OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training.

+ OSHA 8-hour HAZWOPER Supervisor Training.

+ Environmental field work experience (groundwater sampling, fluid level gauging, etc.).

+ Experience working at oil and gas sites.
