**Job Summary**

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Environmental Engineer for employment in the Edmonton, AB office, to work with a large established team conducting environmental assessments and remediation, including several large remediation sites in the Canadian arctic. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in environmental engineering or sciences, specific to soil and groundwater remediation projects. The qualified applicant will have experience with writing construction specifications and other technical reports. Project work will primarily be office based, with a focus on preparing specifications, although some occasional field work may be required.

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

- project office and field support for remediation projects

- preparation of written technical specifications and contract documents

- preparation of reports, technical memoranda, detailed designs and other work products

- may involve support through field tasks (sampling, contractor supervision/oversight)

**Minimum Requirements**

- Requires a minimum of 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

- BSc. Degree in Civil / Environmental Engineering or Environmental Sciences

- No sponsorship will be provided for this requisition

**Preferred Qualifications**

- Good interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable with liaising with clients, colleagues and sub-contractors alike

- Experience with preparing construction remediation specifications

- Well organized, and strong quality and time management

- Self-starter, develops and delivers work under own initiative

- Solid attention to detail and thorough approach to work

- Highly motivated and willingness to learn new tasks.
