The Job

The primary aim of this role is to deliver HBO Max rollout strategies, Pan regional Affiliate negotiations and the centralised management and analysis of affiliate distribution.

The Daily
  • Work with the Head of Bus Dev and Head of Affiliates on a Market-by-market approach to define strategy for HBO affiliate distribution
  • Work with local distribution teams to ensure optimal partner selection and structure negotiation to ensure strong outcome.
  • Coordinate local distribution teams’ responses and deal modelling
  • Coordinate with other WM teams for deals including content licensing or Home ent.
  • Implement an affiliate deal database for effective management of affiliate deal information enabling commercial analysis across partners and territories
  • Manage a deal review process for significant deals, facilitating review and sign off for major distribution agreements.
  • Ensure best practice in local affiliate deal negotiations and coordination of rights granted.
  • Manage ad-hoc business development projects related to distribution and ad sales
  • Provide high levels of customer service and relationship management to our key partners, delivering beyond service expectations.
  • Investigate new and existing opportunities for sourcing incremental business in line with the overall Marketing Strategies.
  • Develop effective and professional relationships with all internal and external stakeholders across all levels.
  • Ensure all proposals are clear, succinct, timely and meet KPI targets.
  • Responsible and effective use of financial resource ensuring maximum return on investment
The Essentials
  • Relevant experience from the entertainment/TV/media industry
  • Contract negotiation
  • Business development
  • Ability to work well with deadlines, with validated experience working on complex, international, large-scale, time-critical projects.
  • A strong interest in Content distribution, along with marketing, Tv business and partnership trends.
  • Excellent communication/interpersonal and presentation skills with an affinity for driving enthusiasm in other team members.
  • Proactive, self-starter approach with the ability to execute in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Fluent in English both oral and written
  • Results-oriented, upbeat, and focused with a strong passion to learn and succeed and to challenge how things are made.
  • Experienced & confident presenter
  • Excellent influencing and negotiation skills
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify potential business opportunities
  • Proven track record of increasing revenue through generation of leads
  • Strong numeracy, literacy and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse and question data and make decisions based on information provided
  • Can you connect the macro to the micro and ensure that all the details are captured
